        1991年硕士毕业于吉林大学数学研究所计算几何专业,1999年赴香港城市大学计算机科学系做访问学者,2002年赴Max-Planck-Institute Fur Informatik做访问学者。2004年博士毕业后到吉林大学珠海学院,筹建软件研究所,任常务副所长,从事WebVR应用与研究.成功地研发了多个网上虚拟互动展示系统。2007年作为学科带头人被同济大学软件学院引进,筹建图形图像研究中心,并任中心主任。采用应用驱动的研究模式,努力全面突破Web3D瓶颈问题的关键技术研究,提出了一整套轻量级Web3D虚拟世界的研究框架与理论。在学术上,带领团队分别在图形学、多媒体、虚拟现实、仿真、计算机网络、Web Services等与Web3D相关领域的权威期刊上发表了30篇高质量论文;在工程应用上,成功研发了若干典型示范轻量级Web3D系统。所研发了轻量级3D场景的轻量化、流式化、细粒度化预处理管线,渐进式 Web3D大数据对等传输协议、基于云烘焙的轻量级Web3D渲染引擎开启了“互联网+VR=WebVR”与“互联网+Game=WebGame”时代。先后担任吉林动画学院游戏分院特聘教授、吉动文创集团首席科学家。连续两次担任中国虚拟现实大会程序委员会主席、第20届ACM Web3D国际学术会议程序委员会主席等职。主持了国家自然科学基金面上项目、国家十二五计划重大科技支撑项目、高等学校博士学科点专项科研基金项目(博导类)上海市科委重点攻关基金项目、吉林省科技计划项目、辽宁省自然科学基金项目、辽宁省教育厅科学技术基金项目、长白慧谷英才计划、中央高校基本科研业务费-学科交叉类项目重点项目、示范型应用(与企业合作)研发课题等二十余项。共发表120多篇学术论文,近年来在ACM TOG、ACM TOMM、WWWJ、IEEE Access、Graphical Model、TVC、CAVW、PRL、NCA、MTAP、《中国科学》、《计算机学报》、《电子学报》、《计算机辅助设计与图形学学报》等图形学、多媒体、视觉、虚拟现实与计算机网络的期刊上发表了论文三十余篇,先后两次获得中国虚拟现实大会(ChinaVR)最佳论文与第11届国际娱乐教育学术会议最佳论文。他还获得过中国产学研合作(个人)科技创新奖与上海科技进步一等奖。

Jinyuan Jia
PhD,professor, doctoral tutor,graduated from College of Computer Science , The Hongkong University of Science Technology.
      Jinyuan Jia majored in computational geometry and got his master degree from Mathematics Institute of Jilin University in 1991, visiting scholar of Department of Computer Science of City University of Hongkong (1999) , visiting scholar of Max-Planck-Institute Fur Informatik(2002). After completing his doctoral studies in 2004, he went to Zhuhai College of Science and Technology, prepare for the construction of Software Institute and served as the executive deputy director. During his tenure, he worked on the research and application of WebVR, and had successfully worked out multiple online interactive virtual display systems. In 2007, he has been introduced by School of Engineering, Tong Ji University as the academic leader, and built the Research Center of Computer Graphics, during which he assumed the director post. The research fully break through the bottleneck problem of Web3D by using application-driven mode and put forward a set of frameworks and theories which correspond to lightweight Web3D virtual world. Academically speaking, he led his team to publish 30 high-quality papers on authoritative academic journals, which covers graphics, multimedia, VR, simulation, computer network, Web Services and Web3D, etc.. Moreover, he has successfully developed various typical exemplary lightweight Web3D systems in engineering application aspect, realized the lightweight, streaming and fine-grained of pre-processing pipeline, big data peer-to-peer transport protocol of progressive Web3D, lightweight 3D render engine based on cloud bake, which ushered into the era of “Internet+VR=WebVR”and “Internet+Game=WebGame”. Jinyuan Jia has successively served as distinguished professor in School of Game, Jilin Animation Institute. He also used to be the lead scientist in Culture and Creativity Group, and have consecutively hold the post of the president of the procedural committee of China Virtual Reality Conference, the president of the procedural committee of The 20th ACM Web3D International Academic Conference, etc.. Furthermore, he used to preside over more than 20 programs including: General Program of National Natural Science Foundation, Major Technology Program of Twelfth Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development, Research Fund for the Doctoral Program of Higher Education of China(RFDP), Funds for Key Program of Shanghai Committee of Science and Technology , Science and Technology Program of Jilin Province, Program of Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province, Fund for Program of Science and Technology of The Education Department of Liaoning Province, Elite Training Program of Changbai Huigu, Basic Higher Education Scientific and Research Expense of Central Authorities-Key Program for Interdisciplinary, Research and Development of Topics for Exemplary Application (cooperate with enterprises), etc.. Jinyuan Jia has totally published more than 120 academic papers. Recent years, he has published more than 30 papers on ACM TOG, ACM TOMM, WWWJ, IEEE Access, Graphical Model, TVC, CAVW, PRL, NCA, MTAP, Science China, Chinese Journal of Computers, Acta Electronica Sinica, Journal of Computer-Aided Design & Computer Graphics, and other online journal relate to graphics, multimedia, visual, virtual reality and computer network areas. He has successively won the honor of best paper in China VR and The 11th International Entertainment and Education Academic Seminar. He was also awarded the Individual Science and Technology Innovation Award for the Collaboration of Industry, Learning and Research as well as the first prize in Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award.
